Odd Epstein-Barr levels

I'm always fatigued and I'm wondering if it has something to do with my EBV levels. Whenever I get tested, my VCA IgG and Nuclear Antigen Ab IgG levels are always high, which I know is normal for anyone who has been infected with EBV. However, VCA IgM is always high too--it has been for the past 2 1/2 years at minimum. The readings indicate that I'm in the convalescent phase, but the convalescent phase shouldn't last for years, right?

Hi!  I'm not a doctor, so please don't take my comments as a diagnosis!  However, I would say your fatigue is almost certainly due to the high EBV levels.  I think you're correct that you're currently fighting an active infection, based on the results.  If that's true, 2 1/2 years is quite a while for an active infection (not really sure what the "convalescent phase" would be).  Have you made any lifestyle changes (trying to get a LOT more rest, etc.), or is your doctor taking any steps to help you get over this?  EBV isn't no fun, and you've been sick for a while, so the sooner you can get over this, the better!  Hope I've helped; please let me know if there's anything else I can do!
