I'm stumped, but you can google all of these and it will pull up all kinds of things that you can compare it to.  I have had to do the same thing with my daughter.  Good luck!

Hi,

Did you find out what your results mean??  Mine say....Please let me know if you understand then?!?!

Anti EBV Nuclear Antigen IgG (EBNA)   30.1
ANti EBV VCA IgG                               14.6
Anti EBV VCA IgM                               0.8

Please can anyone tell me - does this mean that I have EBV/ Glandular Fever or does it mean that I have had it in the past and that my symptoms now are post viral as I still feel totally dizzy and out of it?

Please help!!

Hi Romald, do you have "normal" ranges included on your test results?

Hi,
Thank you so much for your reply/ help.

Normal ranges were up to 1.1 - so mine seem very high!!  But I have tried to understand these results on the internet and im getting confused as to whether the VCA IgM means a current EBV infection and the VCA IgG means past infection.  If this is the case then maybe it means I had the infection in the past? but why would the levels be so high? - not sure if you are any the wiser on this?

I really appreciate your help/ advice??  Thanks again..

Your results do seem high, but that's compared to a non-sick "normal" person; I don't know what the typical range is for someone who is currently sick.  From my understanding though, I think it sounds like you have a currently active case, although it's possible to have both (current and past) infections show on the test.  Also, I would point to your symptoms/health as another indicator you're probably battling a current infection.  Hope this helps!
