concern of test results

My doc told me I had mono based on the fact that my VCA igm was positive, but my VCA igg was negative.  Is this a correct diagnosis? All the post i have seen with current infections both the igm and igg were positive.

Mine Igm was negative
and IGG was 4.6 positive
Someone pls explain
is 4.6 higher number

The viral capsid antigen (VCA)-IgM, VCA-IgG and D early antigen (EA-D) is to detect a current or recent infection

The VCA-IgG and Epstein Barr nuclear antigen (EBNA)  detects a previous infection

So correct me if im wrong, but by having a negative igg and positive igm, I am in the early stages of Mono?
