ebv is horrible
let me tell u people ive had it for a year now. the symptoms you read about is only a quarter of it. my symptoms include white tonge, painful swollen lymph nodes , skin problems , testical pain , burning in buttocs, leg pain , lower back pain, hot flashes, mouth ulcers, dhiarrehia, red skin areas , all kinds of numbness and tingling in the body including the genital area. also eye
Ebv resembles all kinds of cancers and stds. i was brushed off and ignored by docs because they did no the seriousness of this virous and how long it actually affects you. i found it takes up to 2 years to go away after the age of 25 im 29 years old. I was treated very poorley at ers and doctors offices. There first assumption is aids , cancer or an std. when the docs tell you it goes away in 2 months its bull thats only the beggining. maintain a good diet and multi vitamins everyday.

Guys, I have EBV and Adenovirus and an immune defficiency (Reiter's) as well. There is hope. I have had both for 6 or 7 months and have had pain in all areas you mentioned above and in my chest, lungs, eyes, and stomach and severe back pain at night as well. I started eating raw garlic a week ago. 3 pearls out of a clove 5 times a day. I stink like a pig but all of my symptoms have almost gone away completely. I feel 95% better for 4 days in a row now. I read that garlic was one of the best viral destroyers out there (even much better than any viral prescription medicine) and I thought what could it possible hurt I feel loike such **** all day. The day after the first day I started taking it I felt like I was dieing for 24 hours perhaps a detox or the viral symptoms moving out of the bodies tissues (I don't know or care, I just felt almost completely well the next day) 95% of my pain and sypmtoms are gone and I have my energy level back which is a huge miracle. I was so wiped out all the time I couldn't even function. Try it. I smash it with a spoon to get the enzymes activated, drown it in honey and drink it with a big gulp of water and down it goes. Not pleasant but I don't give a rip... I feel so much better!!!

First time I took it and my hands, which have been feeling very cold lately, felt immediately warm again followed by some burning and tingling. I am taking this as a good sign as for about the last 3 months I was / am having hand / arm tremors and this supplement blend seems to help combat some of that.
The tremors are a sign of the EBV attacking your nerves in your hands and I am hoping to stop it before it gets any worse as I am not sure if once damaged they can recover. This is where the MS and all the other neurological disorders are coming from I think.
For some background, my EBV antibodies were extremely high but the test showed the virus was not currently active in my system. I have been researching and found that it can be active at such a low rate that it does not show up in your plasma giving you a false sense that it is gone but it is in fact still working quietly against you. My doctor read the research I found which came out of Germany this summer 2017 that found that it can in fact be active but not picked up by the standard plasma test. My Dr agrees that I most likely have it still active in my system.
So this is a nasty virus that has had a major impact on my life. I am going to fight it as much as I can. Bets thing is to start now by eating healthy and taking vitamins and supplements. I have had Chronic EBV infections for 30 years, and am literally fighting docs bc of the residual effects I am now suffering from these infections! I cannot find a doctor who will take this virus seriously!

M 26 male from delhi , me too have ebv igg antibody level 25 unit /ml .i don't know when I was infected my igm were 4.6 my posible exposure was on 10 November with someone's saliva got symptoms on 21 November 2015 , symptoms were heart burn due to anxiety , stomach burn. , no tosilitis no fever no sore throat was there , but night sweats and thirst at night , and for two days I was very tired with tingling in arm and thigh . But the weirdest symptom was yellow stool (gross, i know, sorry) it made me lost 16 lbs. Should I worry about it and dig on something else? I have read like 2-3 people saying they had it too but still it isn't very common.
Now I still have white tongue, leg pain, stuffy nose, lymph nodes and feeling constipated sometimes.

Hey guys it is so relieving to hear that many other ppl are going through some of the same issues I am going through with ebv. I also have rash, fatigue and a foggy mind sometimes. I used to be so hyper now I'm pretty calm. I just worry about infecting my family. I've had ebv for about 8 months now and the symptoms are not as bad as they used to be so just stay positive ppl. I know its hard at times, for me as well but we have a beautiful life to live so live it. I'm 23 by the way and I'm going to try the 3 garlic clove thing. Hope everyone's symptoms get better. Are you sure they are swollen nodes and not something else?
It is very unusual to have swollen lymph node on your back. In fact , I am not sure if there are even lymph nodes located there.

My exposure was at Nepal 14 months ago. i tested with hiv duo/ combo at 2 and 3 months and antibody at 6 months all negative... Syphilis negative too but hsv 1/2 igg positive at 6 months. i have swollen nodes in mid of arm, below ear, chest and back - highly confused why the nodes swollen. also sometimes neuropathy pain- burning lips, arm and face

Where were your exposures (in which country)?

2- What was your HIV exposure?
5 negative tests in 6 weeks is a good indication, but for total peace of mind, I would recommend having a final test at 12 weeks.
I understand that most people will test positive to HIV within 6 weeks, but not everybody - so just to be totally sure, it is worth doing a final test at 12 weeks so then you can move on with your life.

Even if you are positive for mono, let me tell you, mono is no walk in the park!

14 week HIV DUO test came negative, along with negative hep B and hep C tests. As I previously had a negative antibody at 13 weeks and a negative DUO at 11 weeks, I believe I am truely HIV negative, which is a relief - but what can be causing my current ill health and symptoms? Can it really be Epstein barr virus?
If it is, then it seems I am suffering the same situation as the first posters on this thread - happyguy, awnaw,etc - multiple SYSTEMIC symptoms along with general malaise, lasting for a long time after the initial mono diagnosis.
Wish we could hear from them again, to know if theyve managed to fully recover and how their health is today?
