63.40 [*__] 60-100
TOTAL TESTOS TERONE 264 [*__] 262-1593
2 years ago, august 2007 I had DENGUE feber, lost 10pounds, then i started gym and gained like 15 pounds in the next 3 months after that, alot being body fat. I started to smoke alot and drink beer and started to feel alot of low testosterone symptoms. 6 months later i had my first hormone blood test. The results were as follows:
mg/dl 89.40 [ *] normal range 60-100
total testosterone ng/dl 536. [* ] normal range 262-1593
total estrogen pg/mL 80.6 [ * ] normal range 40-115
linfocitos K/uL 3.44 [ ]* normal range 0.6-3.4
white blood cells K/uL 9.24 [ *] normal range 4.8-10.8
red blood cells K/uL 4.83 [* ] normal range 4.7-6
FSH muI/mL 1.69 [* ] normal range 0.95-11.95
LH mUI/mL 5.56 [ * ] normal range 1.14-8.75
T4 FREE ng/dL 0.98 [ * ] normal range 0.70-1.48
TSH mUI/mL 4.13 [ *] normal range 0.35-4.94
I started drinking tribulus, rez-v, red wine, brocolli, stopped smoking, stopped drinking, nothing seemed to work.
Symptoms, low facial hair, concentration problems, ED, TESTICULAR SHRINKING, almost no libido.
Almost all body fat that i acummulated when the problems started were in waist, legs and abdominal, and a little on the chest. I am 5'6'' so klinefelter is ruled out.
I have gotten 2 bone fractures already. so low bone density could be another symptom
At the moment of the last bloodtest 16/11/2009, i have been taking corticosteroids (meticorten) for an inflamation (inflammation) in the maxilar bone so, i dont know if that drug changes the values.
I have been reading books and texts about testosterone, and I think my LH is good, my FSH somewhat low so maybe they arent helping the lh receptors to use my good LH. My estradiol is a bit high for the ''good'' and finally testosterone is in the bottom limit WAY to low for my age.
I am reading alot on TRT but I would like to know what other stuff could cause the Low testosterone? What could i do to restablish my endo testosterone? What else should i test before thinking about TRT?
What else should i answer to you so you can get a more wide image about whats happening?
Please help.
First and foremost, make sure you're not taking any drugs that may alter your testosterone levels (e.g. finasteride for the treatment of male pattern baldness). TRT is a radical solution and results aren't always positive. I'm not a doctor but I suggest you try a natural approach first: improve your lifestyle, get some exercise and try some natural supplements (DHEA, vitamins C,D,B and E and fish oil)
