Doctor refuses to prescribe trimix after one instance of priapism

Hello, I take Sildenafil 100mg for ED. It helps but I'm still unsatisfied with how much I can get and maintain an erection. My doctor had me to try alprostadil last year, but it didn't work much. About a month ago, he suggested trimix. To be honest, I can't remember what dose he gave me. It worked amazingly, however my erection lasted over 4 hours, so I had to get the draining blood procedure done.  That same day my doctor said that I could try a lower dose next time or stick with the pills. However, now he's saying that he won't prescribe anymore trimix for me due to the possibility of priapism. I've looked all over the internet researching trimix and priapism, and the majority of people say that when they have had priapism with trimix they just adjust the dose and take precautionary measures such as have sudafed on hand. Furthermore, of the people I've researched multiple people have had priapism after the first injection try but then find a good dose.. I think I'm going to get a second opinion. I feel like if I played around with the dose I would be fine. Any thoughts or advice would be amazing?
