Non-Trauma Causes of Suspensory Ligament Weakening?

Hello,

I have a 37 yr old client who complains about not getting a strong erectile curve anymore. He states the firmness of the erection is as good as it ever was, but it is loose at the base and doesn't "stand" as strong as before. I suspect this is due to weakening of the Suspensory Ligament, however I have searched online for causes, and all I've seen so far is traumatic causes. Is age a factor in this, or are there other factors not related to trauma? He complains about low back strain from work, with chronic intermittent pain that's reinforced by the work strain since a low-back injury when he was 22. His X-ray does not show spinal degeneration although there is a slight curve in the L3-5 area, so I'm considering nerve compression from inflamed supportive connective tissues like the dura mater may be a possibility. I'd like to hear thoughts on this, as well as what non-surgical means have been proven to strengthen the suspensory ligament to facilitate a strong curve.
