Possible Penile Injury

Hi, I am a 26 year old male in good health, and I have no STD's. My penis curves up and to the left when fully erect, not to a ridiculous angle I dont believe, but because of it I have always used my right hand to masturbate, at least most of the time, as it was more comfortable  Recently I used my left hand, and while I didnt think anything was out of the ordinary at the time, I think I may have hurt myself. (I did not hear any popping sounds or anything like that, nothing out of the ordinary)
The next day when I got an erection (Just on its own, not from touching it) I experienced some pain at the top of the shaft, and while its hard to tell exactly where its coming from, it feels like from just below the head on the top right side. it feels like something is pinching the skin there a little. Nothing is visibly wrong though. I have never had any pain in my penis before. Anyhow, I tried to take it easy after that, not knowing why I would have pain.

That was about a week and a half ago, and since then, the size of my erections have decreased some, and they do not last as long either. I've also been trying to avoid masturbating, since I'm unsure what step to take next and want t avoid injury. Any Ideas on this, or have you heard of a similar situation? I am just wondering if this is going to heal. I would like to have a family someday, but this has really got me down now.

The last few months have been very busy as well, I'm a full time student, also working part time. But I have been through other busy and stressful situations before and there were no problems. So I'm pretty sure I hurt myself, especially considering that I have a little bit of pain too. I know I should probably go see a Urologist, but I figured that initially this is all they would do as well, so what have I got to lose? I just hope I didnt break it, or that this is something fairly common which will heal in time.

Thanks, Jon

Hi.

Sounds like you've stressed yourself out worrying about this. That can definitely affect erections. However, there could be some injury or condition as well.

This is a forum for discussing emotional and psychological concerns related to erection. For urological questions, post in the Urology Expert Forum at:

That said, if it were MY penis, I'd want to see a urologist for an exam to rule out anything serious. Dr. J

Thanks for your reply. I will go to the other forum, I guess I did not realize this was the wrong one. Yeah, I think that the ED or poor erection, whatever it is, may just be more stress than anything else, because I was still getting regular erections for about a week after, just a naggin bit of pain was all. Anyhow, thanks again, Jon
