Problem after using natural ED supplements

by prurient, Oct 28, 2009 09:33PM
Since I have had problems keeping and maintaining a firm full erection I decided to try two supplements thought to provide better blood flow thus a firmer erection.  The supplements are L-Arginine and Pycnogenol.  I took the recommended dose on the bottle Thursday and Friday before a planned romp with my partner on Saturday.  While sleeping Friday night/Saturday AM, I woke up several times with a very erect penis.  By Saturday morning when she and I got together I was erect very quickly and stayed erect for over 3 hours, even after orgasm.  The erection did finally subside.  However now I have some pain in my groin.  My testicles are not really sore but it seems some how deeper.  I did get another semi hard erection last night during sleep and the pain was more intense while in this state.
Do I need to see a urologist?  Is it possible I have sustained some long term damage?
BTW I am a 47 year old male in very good shape (exercise 6 days a week (aerobic and weights), eat very well, great BP, great cholesterol).  I am not sure my lousy health insurance will cover this...I could not see a urologist for the problems with maintaining an erection since the insurance considered it non life threatening.
Any advice is appreciated!

This is strange. I've been taking a pycnogenol + arginine supplement (brand name PRELOX) everyday for several months and I've had no problems. Both substances are natural and safe. Are you taking any other meds/supplements that might be causing this? Anyway, you should definitely see a urologist.
