Reduction in daily Erection rate__Loss of sensation

Hello doctor

This is deepu. I am 21 years old.

My problem is , my penis is erected only  if i am mastrubating.

Actually 6 months before, i don't have any problem in my erection.

It got erected when i see sexy girls or while i am watching some sexy ones.

Now, at present my erection rate is decreased, and the penis is not erected when i see sexy ones

To erect i have to do mastrubate my self...and i have to put more effort to come out semen

I consulted the doctor and he did  " Colour Doppler Study Of Penis "  test

Penile Status    : 8.0 cm length, 4.0 cm circumference.

post papaverine : 12.0 cm length, 6.0 cm circumference.

post-papaverine rigidity present.

2-D                  : Both shafts of carpus cavernosum and carpus spongiosum appeared normal.

Colour Flow      : Dorsal vein colour flow normal.
                         Both cavernosum arteries show normal colour flow.

Doppler            : Shows normal flow velocities across both cavornosal arteries.

Systolic flow velocity    18 cm/sec ( Normal range between 25 to 50 )
Diastolic flow velocity   2.5 cm/sec ( Normal range less than 10 cm )


       IMPRESSION

          Mild arterial insufficiency flow
          No venous leakage

Note : Advice given to patient if any priapism occurs to consult urologist with in 4 hours.

Being it is a sensitive issue i am very much disappointed, i am not able to concentrate on my

studies.

Doctor could you tell me ...

            Is this problem is major one?
            Why it occured?
            What i have to do now?

Hello. You're asking questions that only your physician can answer, so please ask her or him. From your chart, it appears you have a minor impediment of blood flow to your penis. Since blood flowing into the penis is what creates erection, this may be affecting your erections. Ask your physician about medications available to help with blood flow. Also realize that everyone is different, and this condition may not have been "caused" by anything, but is just the way your body developed. It doesn't mean you can't enjoy sex and have great pleasure. Dr. J

Are you properly nourished? What is your weight and BP? Are u able to engage in other physical activities like running, swimming etc? If you are otherwise normal this is a minor issue. I think it is due to lack of stimulation. IIf the problem persists even when you are in the presence of an attractive female then it should be checked up. If u get a normal erection in the presence of a woman then u are normal.
