5 small meals

I am 47 and trying to lose 20lbs. I am exercising and not having any luck. In fact I am gaining two and three pounds but not noticing my clothes getting tighter. I heard about the 5 small meals a day. I been doing weight watchers but strugging. Can anybody explain the 5 small meals a day.

The 5-meals-a-day diet plan is based on having five or six small meals a day depending on how much weight you need to lose. It helps control the sugar levels in the blood and maintain high energy levels. It is also better for the body to digest or break down smaller amounts of food. This plan also reduces the amount of unwanted snacking and overeating during the day.

However, before you undertake a diet plan you should always seek help from your doctor. Some eating regimes may not be suitable for people with medical conditions.
