Ankle Problems and Foot Swelling

i didnt know where to go with this question, so ill just ask here. Ok, i was out skating and i badly hurt my ankle. My foot went over and under the front of board and i fell. at first it seemed like a rolled ankle, so i just didnt go to school and stayed off it. Now, after a week, the ankle swelling has gone down, but my foot is starting to swell, including my toes. Also, in the top part of my foot, which is really puffy, it feels like theres liquid or somesort of geletin in it. it doesnt hurt, but whenever theres some vibration (walking) it feels like something inside jiggles. i just wanna know if this could lead to infection, and if i should just stay off it.

Not to make you leap out of your chair in some sort of hysteria, BUT! I sound to me like you didn’t just "roll" your ankle, you fractured or broke it. When it healed it might have pinched something, or it created pressure somewhere inside your leg. I’m no doctor, and couldn’t tell you for sure unless I saw the injury, but I would go get x-rays, and talk to your doctor about it. Leaving something like that might only cause further complications.

thanks, its been a while, and the swelling has gone down and the fluid feeling has ceased. it doesnt hurt that much anymore, but if itcontinues, im definitely going to get x-rays.

Get X-rays.

I've broke 2 bones and it only hurt a little, I was absolutely shocked to find I broken something in both cases - could hardly believe it.

Tylenol (not Tylenol 3, no narcotics) was plenty for any pain I had.

Broken bones are not always the agony most people expect.
