Arm, back, tummy toning to look great in my wedding dress!

Hello, I am getting married next February, nearly 8 months away. I have got time on my side, and I want to know what would be the best upper body workout? I had a baby 10 months ago and I am in need of some serious toning! I tried on dresses a few days ago and I have back fat and flabby arms that I hate! I'm still nursing, so that makes my bust larger for now, but what is the best way to tone my upper body? Particularly my upper back and arms. They are flabby and I want to have a beautiful back and toned arms for my wedding day and beyond! I'm not really very overweight, at about 132 and 5'4", although I wouldn't mind losing about 7 lbs which isn't bad. Any suggestions on how to have nice, toned arms and back would be great! I need to tone my tummy, also! Gotta look great in my bikini on the beach in Hawaii for our honeymoon! Thanks!

Not so cheesy,  that is why it is centuries old.  The fitness aspect is just an added bonus.  It is all that deep breathing.

Hi jenshim, how are you going about your slimness sessions? Hope you are doing great as you might be nearing your wedding day? Yah, Yoga and meditation keeps you physically and mentally fit, practice about half an hour daily and regularly. Here is some tips how to start about the yoga, if you are a fresher, hope this might be of some help to you.  "Everybody can do yoga," says JoAnn Lyons, an instructor at Piedmont Yoga Studios in Oakland, Calif., who also works with the disabled. If you're starting out or just curious about this more than 2,000-year-old exercise tradition, here are some tips to help get your practice in swing. Take care and update.

i totally agree with marissposa. I totally advocate yoga for the upper body. Have u noticed how buff Madonna's arms are? Yes she also has a personal trainer and personal chef, which also helps her look like that. But my arm are dying whenever i go to a yoga class, in a good way of course. Plus it is a relaxing way to work out. it kinda recenters me. i know that sounds kinda cheesy, but it does.

Hi Jenshim, how are you doing? Hope you have gained the momentum in planned workout to shed the extra pounds by going all the physicals. It is convinient to keep yourself engaged at home as you can also get your other wedding work done. You can go ahead with the exercise balls or treadmeal/bicycling would also be a good choice. Iam sure, your positive approach towards the fitness will sure fetch you the desired results before your D-day. Keep updated and take care. All the best in future.

Thank you both! Great suggestions! I don't have time for the gym, with a full time job and a baby, but I have seen some great yoga and pilates DVD's that I can do at home. Great suggestions!

Have you ever noticed the guns on ladies that do yoga?  Beautiful.  I  suggest a daily yoga practice and light cardio several times a week, and a healthy diet and you should be gorgeous by the big day.  Congrats!

Hi Jenshim, how are you doing? I appreciate your determination to be physically fit by the month of Feb next year. The best way to tone up muscle is by regularly doing exercise/going to gym. You need to consult a gym trainer to plan your work out and also eat a balanced diet. Diet modification and exercise plays a vital role in weight loss program. Cut down on carbohydrates and fats; increase the intake of proteins, fiber, fruits, vegetables, and water. Consume less calories and increase physical exercise - cardiac work out to burn more calories as muscles use glucose rapidly. It is better to consult your family doctor and plan your weight reduction program. Monitor weight regularly on alternate days to keep in track the weight to be achieved. Take care bye.
