Bad back alignment and lymphoma

Bad back alignment and lymphoma

For the past 8 months I was waking up at night with sciatic backache symptons. Most pain I've ever felt. After a few months the pain seem to go away, and I thought I was in the clear. But 4 months ago I started getting swelling in my groin which still exists today. The doctors all seem to suspect Lymphoma. I had lyhmphnodes removed 2 months ago, and the tests came back negative. I recently had a second biopsy done ane are awaiting the results. About a week ago, I started getting the returning back pains again and of course it keeps me up all night. I'm just wondering if these back pains are because of the swollen lymphnodes, or if there is a chance they may be te cause of the swelling? Thanks in advance.Any answer would be appreciated.

Hi there!

Well, this would be a difficult question to answer without a detailed clinical evaluation. An enlargement of groin lymphnodes as such is unlikely to cause backache, though associated enlargement of lymphnodes in other regions or issues with organs that drain into these lymphnodes could be responsible for the backache. It is also likely that the backache is a separate issue unrelated to the lymphnode enlargement. I would suggest discussing the situation in detail with your treating doctor. After the issue is well evaluated for and cause of the backache identified, it can be managed accordingly.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
