Balance between enough rest and working hard

Balance between enough rest and working hard

I am new to running and am currently training for my first half-marathon. I also love love love my spin and pump classes. I'm starting to run more miles now and am wondering what a good balance is between working hard and allowing my muscles to get enough rest. Should I be taking it a little easier on my legs than the 5-6 day a week workouts that include running along with either pump or spin? I want to keep getting stronger, but I don't want to injure anything either.

Hello!

It would be fine if you practice each of your passion on alternate days. But as you are presently training hard for half marathon it is important that you cut down your pump and spin for only twice weekly.

You should start with full energy when you start your marathon so that you will have good practice sessions and improve your timing for your marathon.

Take care!
