Boyfriend and Exercise

by blondie918, Oct 25, 2009 07:05PM
Ok my boyfriend is about 6'3" and probably underweight. He's very active, rides his bike for at least three hours a day. He at times, underneath his eyes gets purple. He also gets stomach problems every now and then. I'm getting worried about him because of his fast metabolism and over activeness causing him to get thinner and thinner. What edible substances would help him to gain weight and strength? Are there some medications or treatments that would help him?

Hello!

No medication is required. Take him to a dietician and calculate his BMI and try to put him at 25. Also calculate his BMR.
Then come to planning of diet chart. He would require 2400 to 2800 calories as he is an adult male, active and exercising.
Divide it into multiple 4/5 meals per day.
Give him proteins as in eggs, milk, meat, soya, lentils which contain the highest dietary protein. Balance it with carbohydrates, some amount of fat, vitamins and minerals with sufficient water.

Take care!
