Cellulite

Does anyone know what actually works for cellulite on the thighs and butt? I appreciate any and all suggestions.

I was told the only thing that can help reduce the appearence of cellulite is the toning of that area. I too have that problem and i started doing exercises like squats, leg press etc. to tighten up the legs. Do you work out?

I just started doing pillates  -do you think that will help? I figure that is safe as I am also trying to get pregnant.

I've heard that women's fat is sometimes lumpy, which is why WE have cellulite on our legs and men don't (bummer!).  As far as I know, cellulite is just a layer of lumpy fat -- if you want to get rid of it you need to work on getting rid of the fat -- i.e. diet as well as exercise.

I agree, you have to tone that area.  For that area, you need to do plenty of squats and lunges.

Yeah it can actually go away. there are some creams that kinda of work, but its better to do it the hard way and get real results.
Cellulite does not mean you are fat, it happens to pretty much all women, professionals say there is no explanation to the cause, but once you research all the identified causes of  cellulite, you can go down the list of many causes and figure out which one suites you, in order to research how to cure it.

In my experience I had to think back to the time of my life when I noticed it developing. I found out my cellulite appeared when i was drinking a lot of alcohol, which induces cellulite. Alcohol is a toxin that can increase fat levels in blood, slowing down circulation and adds additional burden onto the waste removal organs. The absorption of certain fat burners like Vitamin C, calcium and zinc can be reduced if too much of alcohol is consumed. Stay away from food toxins.
Once you learn more about the waste removal organs, you should question your diet. Perhaps the best way to be rid of cellulite is to cleanse your body, detoxify it, and make  healthy changes in your diet. Go on a cleanse.

In my case the cause of my cellulite was dehydration, toxicity, laxative abuse, unstable weight management... , I was extremely dehydrated and did not know it just because my body was immune to never having water for so long. The best thing to get rid of cellulite is to drink a lot of water and keep hydrated, your skin needs it. I take extra electrolyte pills because i'm extremely active, but remember when your body needs water it also needs to be refuelled with electrolytes.
And work out.
My cellulite is leaving fast with what I am doing: I work out every day, toning exercise, a lot of thigh and butt toning, and then 15 - 20 minutes of cardio running on the treadmill. Swimming some laps after. I've noticed results in a week.
Walking is also supposed to be good to get rid of cellulite.
Oh and trying to get rid of "fat" in one spot during workout does not work, its better to an all body workout.

After giving birth, besides toning exercises I tried this machine called endermologie at a clinic. It works really well but you need to go at least 2-3 times a week (an hour per session) and it's not cheap. It took me about a month to see the celullite disappear. You would still need to do toning and cardio to keep the fat and cellulite off.
