Cold sweat even in 100 degree weather

by andreax, Sep 08, 2008 08:13PM
Ok here's a new one.  For the past month I have been dealing with some health issues.  Mainly dealing with yellow stool etc.

Dr. says your overweight, put me on bp medicine (metoprolol twice a day 25mg) and to start exercising.

Now I go outside to exercise, or even if I exercise on a treadmill in air conditioning, I noticed my arms get ice cold, I guess legs too.  So when I sweat it's cold and clammy.

Have had ekg, cardio stress test, and lots of bloodwork, everything coming up normal.

any suggestions?  i thank you for your time, you are appreciated.

Hello,

Perspiration or sweat is the body's way of cooling itself, whether that extra heat comes from hardworking muscles or from over stimulated nerves. When sweat evaporates from the surface of your skin, it removes excess heat and cools you.

So cold sweating on exercising in the absence of any cardiac pathology is a normal phenomena.Just keep yourself well hydrated after exercising and pls do moderate exercises and stretching exercises before exercising.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep us posted on how you are doing.
