Creatine Supplement

Creatine Supplement

I bought a powdered creatine supplement few weeks ago to help with my weight training. It has been working very well and I've already gained some muscle mass. I'm 18 years old.

I recently read about creatine causing kidney problems, which worried me because in July 2008 I was diagnosed with 1 atrophic kidney. The other kidney grew to compensate, and my doctor said I can function normally. I got a renal scan and everything.

I drink plenty of water, but sometimes after i drink the creatine my good kidney aches a little. The feeling goes away after 30 minutes or so. I started drinking more water, and the pain hasn't come back since. Should I still be worried? Could a pure creatine supplement be better? The one I've been using is from WalMart and probably has other stuff in it.
