Exercise for L1/L2

I need some exercises specifically for targeting the support structures in the area of L1/L2. Note that I am reasonably fit. Can swim a kilometer, and do so regularly. Can't run/jog because of my back, and also the knees are a bit worn from working as an electrician in a steel plant for 28 years. Have a few free weights, a combination machine, and stationary bike.

Learn the basics of Yoga at a slower pace. Focus is on basic postures, yogic breathing and proper alignment. Designed for students who are new to yoga as well as more experienced students who want a gentler class. ( L1 -Gentle: a well rounded, basic yoga practice for beginners or for those wishing to review the fundamentals. Emphasis on breathing and healthy alignment. L2 -Moderate: an intermediate, moderately paced class which builds strength, flexibility, and concentration. Emphasis on breathing and healthy alignment.)

You know that L1/L2 refers to my spine?

Two other Items can give relief (not a cure) an inversion table about $200. and the Nubax Trio
you can google  Nubax Trio and read about it. I have both and they help. My Neurosurgeon won't operate because I have 2 factors for having blood clots. Only if the  Spinal Stenosis
becomes debilitating will he operate. Do the Yoga and try the products I've mentioned.

I've already got a nubax. Been using it for 3 weeks. Yet to see any relief. This and inversion tables are for use to treat bulges and herniations. I have no such issues. I've got pain at L1/L2 when it's pressed, and radicular pain along the periradular nerve, comfirmed by short term relief from a nerve root epidural at this level, but an MRI taken 9 months ago, and CT scan taken two weeks ago, show absolutely no abnormality at this level. By no abnormality, I mean NONE WHATSOEVER. A neurosurgeon even went so far as to say that my spine looks very healthy (ex-pat American living and working in Australia - in case you felt the need to denigrate the competency of our doctors). I'm seeking information on strengthening it because I don't know what else to do.

Have recently been prescribed with endep, and consider this to be the little blue pill that has saved my life. The pain that was breaking through even large doses of very strong opiates is almost gone. Been on Fentanyl patches for over a year, have had 20+ nerve blocks and radio frequency nerve ablation. Now 2 x 10mg tablets of this little wonder drug - and I've got my life back. Will soon be off pain killers, and will be able to enjoy living once more.
