Feels like my calf is twisting or balling up

by Markp89, Sep 11, 2007 02:14AM
Hi, I just woke up in really bad pain for probably the 4/5 time in the past few years. It feels like the muscles in the calf area on my left leg "ball up" or twist into a knot and it doesn't go away unless i arch the knee. The pain is excruciating and I doubt I will be sleeping for the rest of tonight because I am afraid of it returning in my sleep. What could this be and what can I do to fix it?

It sounds like a muscle cramp. your electrolytes might be out of wack. eat a banana and dring gatoraid for a week and see if it helps. Also drink LOTS of water, you could be dehydrated.
