I went to the doctors two days ago because I had a soreness/slight pain near my AchillesAchilles tendinitis when I would run or walk. I also felt a scratching in that area when I would walk heal-toe. My doctor took an x-ray and said that he thinks I might have a stress fractureFractures across a growth plate in my fibula, but he wasn't sure. I am currently waiting for the results from the radiologist as my doctor said they will make the final call on what it is. As of now, two day laters and still no results, I no longer have any pain when I walk. I havnt tried to run yet, but I feel I could. Does anyone think it is possible to have a fibular stress fractureFractures across a growth plate when I am not experiencing any pain?
It is good that you are not experiencing any pain, but our advice is you should wait for your X-ray/Scan results, you can always phone call to confirm that you have a fractureFractures across a growth plate or not, there is no need to wait so long.
If your inflammation has decreased, nothing on X-ray/Scan and no symptoms you are fine.
Take care!
