For any runners/joggers out there

I used to be an avid runner, and picked it up again over the last 6 mths. When I first started I hurt my ankle almost right away (serves me right for not running for 2 years!) and had to take it easy for a while. Then it was great, and I got back into it atleast 5 days a week.

I took a couple months off due to some health issues (nothing to do with excersise) and started again daily 2 weeks ago. I've only been running everyday for about 2.5 miles (1/2 hr). Over the last few days I notice one of my ankles is quite swollen - even the size of my calf is bigger than my other. It doesn't hurt at all, just feels a little uncomfortable and tight being swollen, and it looks awful!

Any ideas? I'd really rather avoid a doctors visit for a swollen leg...
