i am 19 yrs old n weigh around 136 pounds 5 ft 7 inch tall ... i am tryin to get big really bad so i have been liftin alot lately but i do play basket ball twice a week cuz i think that might help me to grow taller and stretch.. so i had a quiestion since i lift alot of weights will that effect my growth of height??? n how do i get big real fast ???

Hi,

Height is determined mainly by genetics. Your height will depend on the height of your parents.
Some exercises like swimming, basket ball, cycling which stretch your back can help you gain a couple of inches.
It is not yet proved that weight lifting can help you gain height.

but does it mean that weight lifting would stop the gain of height??

No there is no scientific evidence to prove that lifting weights can stop height gain.

I am 23years old. my parents have been keep a height score of me and my brother and sisters for years now on an old door. I have been noticing for the last 2 years i have been losing height. i am now shorter than i was when i was 18. is there something wrong with me. The only change i think is that i dance and exercise more now and a bit thinner than i was. no weights or anything? can anyone advice im now 5foot2 i dont wanna get any shorter im short enough as it is!
