I have joined a gym about 4 weeks ago, and i go at least 5 times a week. I usually do cardio for 20 minutes before doing weight training. I am only 17 and my exercise heart rate is around 196, which seems a bit high. Is this ok for my age?
The heart rate that you provided, is definitely high. However, it remains to be seen when do you have this? Beginning or towards the end of the exercise or is it the peak heart rate at the time of exercise. This should be examined by a doctor and investigated thoroughly.
