Hi, whey protein is just dried milk without the calcium caseinate, lactose, and fat... plain and simple. It's best to use whey protein only for pre-and-post workout nutrition. You're really better off getting the rest of your protein from real food. Drink it 30-45 minutes before working out. For post-workout nutrition it gets a little trickier because the mixture depends on your goals. The post-workout shake is made from skim milk, whey protein. Use one cup of skim milk and a full scoop of whey protein. I hope this helps.
