Is alocohol good for working?

Is alocohol good for working?

Sounds dumb, I know.  However, I noticed if I happen to have a beer or glass of wine or two and then hit the gym, for some reason I have more strength and more endurance while working out.  Why is that?  If alcohol dehydrates you, then shouldn't it have the opposite effect at the gym?

fyi I don't do this often...not really at all...I just noticed it once or twice.

could it be because you're "taking the edge off" and aren't able to feel the pain as soon?  I would think alcohol is very bad for working out though.  It does dehydrate.  Just make sure to drink plenty of CLEAR fluids while working out lol. Especially if you choose to continue drinking a beer or two beforehand.

Hello!

Any form of alcohol is not good for you.

Alcohol gets metabolized in your liver and with your liver functions good and healthy you will not have any obvious symptoms.

With long term alcohol consumption you can suffer from fatty liver or liver cirrhosis.

As coffee contains caffeine and it is a stimulant you feel good after drinking coffee and so is with alcohol, you feel good after couple of drinks.

If you are healthy and have couple of drinks intermittently and monitor your liver functions and you are symptom free there is no reason to worry!
