I had three different stress fractures on my tibia and none of them showed up on an Xray and yes this is possible apparently. My doctor didn't see the fractures until I had a CT scan. You should also get a bone scan. You get injected with dye and your entire body is scanned and the dye collects to the area of the body that is injured. This is also how my doctor saw the fracture. So yes you may still have a fracture. I am not a doctor myself, but I thought I would let you know my experience.
