Muscle popping

About 6 or 7 months ago, i was practicing my left split when my hamstring. I heard a loud popping sound and was in extreme pain. The next day i did my right splits and my hamstring poped again, except it wasn't as loud and as painful as the left one. I wasn't able to right for months and i wasn't able to stretch for even longer. When i tried to stretch i couldn't go past my knees and when i was done stretching i could feel my muscle tightening or cramping together, as if someone was inside my leg and grabbing my muscle, which was also very painful. Now everytime i stretch or move a certain way my hamstring STILL pops and it hurts, not as bad as it did when it first happened but it still hurts. Im still not able to stretch very well and there are times where it hurts to walk. Im really desperate right now and i want to know what is going on and how to stop it. Someone PLEASE HELP ME!

Is it possible maybe you have torn something? Seeing a doctor to get it checked is the best course of action now.
