No clue what's going on

No clue what's going on

I run pretty often, and never really have problems.  This morning I tried to run my fitness evaluation run for the military this morning, and after a half of a mile, began to get some extremely bad cramps.  It started with severe sharp pains in my sternum after only half of a mile.  I stopped running for a couple minutes because it hurt my chest and made the pain worst.  I tried to run again after I felt like it had went away, and about 10 seconds into running, it started again, this time it felt like i was being stabbed in on the right side of my lower stomach.  I have to run it again tomorrow, and was wondering if anyone had any advice for something like this, so that it might not happen again.  Please let me know if you can be of help in this situation.  I like my job, and would like to keep it at least until my enlistment is up.  Thanks!
