I'm 21 year old male and i am quite skinny(120lbs, 5'7) but its not because i chose to be. So for the past few months i rarely get hungry. I still eat when i think i should so it hasn't been a problem until recently. It was a long weekend and i had 3 days off from work. I stayed at home and didn't go anywhere so my daily reminders to eat kinda went away. So when i went to go back to work i found myself feeling really weak, and realized i forgot to eat over the past 3 days. Don't know if this is some kinda disorder, but would like to know if there is something i can do to fix it. Thanks in advance.
I would talk to your primary care physician, they can provide you with some helpful suggestions and also discuss with you whether seeing a nutritionist would be helpful for you. When I was your age I had the same problem and noticed it was normally around the time I was running around and with the urge to eat not being there it was difficult. I finally found a way to make sure I can get enough calories to sustain me by making breakfast the meal I eat the most calories so if I am not hungry for lunch I know I ate enough to get me thru. It also creates an appetite for dinner if I have forgotten to eat lunch. which is the key to get the nutrients you need in the day to promote a healthy body.
