I practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and about 7 months ago I injured my wristWrist pain. The wristWrist pain was pinned under my body and was rolled. There was immediate pain--though not severe. I continued to practice for about a month after the injury, but then stopped due to a job relocation. The pain still exists--somedays more so than others--but I want to get back into training.
I have the same problem. I've been to a couple different doctors, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.... So far, nothing has worked and the pain has continued for about a year now. If you find out anything useful, I'd appreciate it if you could pass it on to me as well
Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
If you have continued to use an injured wrist, this could be repetitive strain injury. It could also be due to ligament tear and weakness. Tendonitis and bursitis are the other possibilities.
Hope this helps. I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor (PCP) and get a referral for a sports clinic and consult a sports medicine specialist. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
i have the same problem its a form of tendonitis i found fish oil accompanied by glucosamine/chondroitin helps alot and for a month or so id keep it wrapped, taped, or some form of support on it until it adapts during physical training or activities
