Pain in the right bun after interval training on bike

I have the same problem with a a pain in my bun which started with me doing interval training on my bike.  My pain is deep in my right bun and radiates into my lower right back and my upper hamstring.  My doctor told me to take antiinflamatories and return in a month.  I had an MRI and it showed nothing.  I feel like I have piriformis syndrome but can't seem to get any help other than taking meds.  I feel fine when I stand but have a deep, biting feeling in my right cheek when I sit.  Has anyone else experienced this and do you have anything you can shar to help with the problem?

I would suggest you to take a break from cycling and continue taking NSAIDs intermittently and apply ice packs.

The piriformis syndrome is a condition in which the piriformis muscle irritates the sciatic nerve, causing pain in the buttocks and referring pain along the course of the nerve which can be along the medial side of your leg.

Rule out lower spinal problems and other problems like injuries to your gluteus muscles or hamstrings.

Nerve conduction tests may be necessary to exclude other diseases. Follow up with an orthopedician.
