Popping knee

by Tmpelton, Sep 06, 2006 12:00AM
I walk stairs everyday, 6 flight, 6 times, twice a day, I've been doing it for a year and 1/2 and have lost 20lbs. The last two days in doing so my left knee pops every step, it does not hurt but I do not want to injure it. I'm wondering if I should see a orthepedic DR. or continue. I weigh 120 pounds right now.
The popping occurs only when I am going up and when my leg is straitening out......

Thanks for your time !

Noisy knees that have no pain are often just that; noisy. This can be normal. If you are worried, or have pain, get a referral to see an orthopedist and get some xrays done to make sure.  good luck
