Pulled a muscle or strained?

HI I am 19 yrs old I work out 3xs a week by doing a little bit of cardiovascular,sit-ups,and push ups. I am a healthy person I try to eat right and nutrition, also I weight 120 and am 5' 3"1/2 and I also like to scooter for in long distance like 2 miles in 20 minutes, (scooter two wheel not the motor one) and I recently decided to go jogging this past friday night so i did and pushed my self to jog a mile like 4 turns around a block and ended up nice and sweaty. Later I relaxed and in about an hour later to take a shower I began to feel a little pain on the left side of my chest I usually get this from running fast but then it will go away. So I went to the doctor the next day because i slept it up and woke up with the same pain in the morning, She checked my pulse and heard my heart beat and said everything is normal and that I might have pulled something while jogging. So she told me to take Advil two tablets for the pain, ok so its been about three days now since the night I ran and the pain is still there from a scale of 1 to 10 the pain can get to a 5 when i move certain ways in bed while being on the laptop and it kind of goes to a 1 when i do absolutely nothing. I don't what it is I try ice but it does nothing so what is it a strain or a pulled muscle it doesn't hurt to breath. Should I go to the Doctor and ask her what she can do to help me? This pain is annoying I want to go back to being the physical me.

Hello!
The pain is due to inflammation. As you are having discomfort only during working out and exertion it shows that you are healing properly.
Wait for a week and continue in a slow progressive way and after that take an appointment.
Take care!

Thanks again by the way I haven't gone to any therapies but have been doing stretches, and movements, and I am starting to do exercise little by little. I only do about 50 jump in jacks in a slow pace but I have to give it a rest cause it starts to hurt (the chest) and then I go on. I am not forcing myself to do too much so I can prevent another injury or making it worst. Also today I did  sit ups using the exercise ball in the beginning my chest did hurt because I stretched my arms to hold the ball from my feet to my hands but I did the exercise slow and steady and the pain went away. Then I did moderate push ups using my knees, this created some discomfort but again I did it slow and steady and the pain went away. I didn't do that much (50) but had to rest in between. Question I don't have that much pain no more, but when I touch the first upper rib on my left it still hurts, and only hurts if I do exercise or if I do a quick sudden move. When should I go to the doctor again because she didn't tell me to go back it's been about a week now. By the way I am a young lady, I forgot to put that in my first writing.Thank you.

Hello!
It is good to hear that the pain is decreasing.
Continue the therapy and also take intermittent pain killers.
It is good to exercise regularly for good health and also if you can swim you can do it on some days.
With any symptoms reoccurring or aggravating we would suggest the same to go for an orthopedic examination.
Take care!

Hi...um the pain has been decreasing although I felt some discomfort on my left arm like as if a joint was pulled from my arm pit to my arm(left arm) and also my upper left side of my back has been hurting but not as in pain but as in discomfort like tiredness, stiff like stressed out when I rub my back against something I like it it eases it. Oh this started about a day later from when the chest pain began after I went to the Doctor. But I now have been trying to do some stretches and the discomfort in my arm is some what getting better but feels funny like when u hit your funny bone on the elbow but its not the elbow it's the arm, its like as if the joints been bothered, or stressed out, I also think this has some connection with my stressed left side of my upper back(left shoulder). So what do I do now I only now take 1 Advil before I go to sleep and really don't need it in the day for my chest that much only concern is the arm. What should I do?

Look up Costochondritis, it is an inflammation of the cartilage connecting each rib to the sternum.  your ribs and breastbone are joined by cartilage where pain will appear. People will often complain about this after fitness because of deep breathing.

Check it out and see if this could be what you are having

Hello!
We advise you to wait for couple of days and continue advil and take rest.
If your symptoms do not decrease or start aggravating then visit an Orthopedician specialist for proper examination. You might be advised an MRI and based on the diagnosis go for proper cure.
