Right leg tingling, numb, cold?

It all started when I woke up from my sleep as if I pulled a muscle in my right leg a couple weeks ago. It was hard to get up and walk, but I eventually went back to sleep. The feeling has been persistent since then, only to be alleviated by rest or sleep. Walking is generally difficult and I have to limp at times. The my outer right thigh feels a little tender and my entire leg feels tingly (especially around the ankle), numb, and sometimes my foot goes cold (but just a feeling, not actually). Also some small sharp pain (like a quick bolt) on the calf and back of knee. No other symptoms. No swelling, redness, changes in skin color, difficulty breathing, etc. I went to the ER twice and had a ddimer done both times. Both came out negative. But the complication is still there. I did not get an ultrasound. I believe the doctors want to avoid such a test since I'm at low risk, but I am scared. Is it possible for the ddimer test to be false... twice? I have been sitting a lot lately. I have pericarditis and have been taking things REALLY easy. I'm usually on my butt drawing, playing video games, and watching TV. But the ER doctors including my primary care doctor don't seem to be so concerned. Has anyone gone through a similar situation before? What did it turn out to be? Should I demand more testing? This has been going on for weeks now.

It may be being on your butt all the time.  This sounds like sciatica and it could be coming from a muscle in your butt called the periformis.
