Shaping up

I run a mile a day. I do it for fun- never really thinking about time. But recently it was brought to my attention that some people run a mile in less than 10 minutes. My mile is about 25 minutes. Is that really too long?

Also, what is the best way to shape that extra fat that accumulates around the top of the hips (I don't have a lot, but all the same)?

Thanks

Hello!

The first thing you do is measure your height and weight and calculate your basal metabolic index.

If you are above 25 BMI then you would need to run an extra mile and do it for 30 minutes regularly to decrease your body fat. Also plan a proper diet chart.

Regular cardio such as running, jogging, skipping or swimming are the good ways of losing extra fat.

For the total time taken , do not run too fast initially, challenge yourself and over a period of time cut down your time maintaining distance.

Take care!

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. I have not been measuring my basil basal metabolic index. I will research it and measure it.

My BMI is most likely below 25, I weigh 117 and are average height.

I am just want to keep my  young twenties body. I don't want to be one of those women who are square or rectangle from the waist down. I am not , but I just want to prevent it.

Thanks for your feedback.

Also, I don't really run to lose weight.  I just think exercise and a healthy lifestyle are important- I really like running.
