Sharp burning pain in my stomach

Whenever i am using the seated leg curl, used to exercise my hamstrings i get a very sharp almost burning pain on the right hand side of my stomach, around my belly button. When i stop using the machine, the area becomes kid of numb. Could you tell me what this is please? and anything i should do to stop it from happening

The pain could be the results from abdominal muscle strain that could cause micro-tears.
