Sharp pulling pain in pelvis when jumping or running

Hi everyone,  this is my first post here. I've been dealing with an extremely painful issue for about 3 weeks. Not sure if it's related, but I believe I have some undiagnosed lower back issues and about a month ago I had a flare up of Sciatica symptoms. I had unbearable pain along with pins and needles throughout my right leg that persisted around the clock for 6 days straight. I forced myself to exercise it at the gym, and this seemed to help. The severe pain subsided, and the numbness soon after. A few days after the symptom relief, I was playing basketball and tried to do a spinning maneuver while simultaneously elevating off of my right foot. I had neglected to properly stretch and I felt a very sharp, sudden stretching, tearing pain in my pelvic area. It felt like a muscle or ligament pulling. The pain radiated into my genitals and when I pressed on my pubic area I felt a tenderness. I tried to stretch it off and continue to play but it limited my mobility so badly I had to quit. I was unable to make any abrupt movements that involved separating my legs. Once I stopped playing I felt no pain or discomfort at all and it stayed this way for a week until I tried playing again. Immediately upon jumping to make a layup with my legs in a lunging position I felt an intense pulling pain again that caused me to fall to the floor. If I lunge forward in a stretching position I can feel a tightness and pulling sensation in my pubic region. Three weeks have passed now and it's unnoticeable during most daily activity, but I'm afraid to make a sudden jerking movements because the intense sudden pain is still present and just as bad as day 1. It seems to strike intensely then disappear immediately until aggravated again. Not much for lingering soreness.  I have kind of ruled out a groin sprain since all descriptions seem to list pain in the inner thigh, which I don't have. Any help with this would be great. A doctor visit is a last resort since for the most part it doesn't effect daily routine and I don't have health insurance. It is, however,  preventing me from any cardio activities which I love. Thanks!

It does sound like a groin problem, but without tests you'll never know and if it's something that can't heal by itself you'll be stuck with it.  There isn't any way for us to diagnose this and no way for you to self-diagnose.  That's why it's pretty important to have health insurance, especially if you do a lot of sports, as ending up in the ER is really expensive!
