Hi,
How are you feeling? How old are you?
What do you mean by saying shinShin splints splints? What diagnosis has been told to you?
I think you should consult a physiotherapist or a musculo-skeletal specialist so that you could define your problem.
I think you should be on anti-inflammatory medications and nutritionally fit so that you won’t faceFace pain similar problem again.
Keep me informed if you have any queries.
Bye.
Im good.
Im 15 gonna be 16 in march. Excited! :)
Like what i mean is on the top of my leg to the left of my shinsShin splints is VERYjpain full even when i walk to class. My doctor said that its from when i did ballet and on pionte. All he told me was to take a break from pe for the semester, stretch everyday and ice it. That all started in sept. and its better but still hurt and i dont know what else i can do to help it. I want to do fastpitch soon and basketball next year but i cant if this is gonna still be a problem and i wanna have fun in my high school years. my mom works in a pharmacy so i can ask for the anti-inflammatory meds. i just dont know what else i can do. any advice?
Hi,
How are you feeling? What is your name?
Shin splints present with pain and discomfort in the leg from repetitive running on hard surfaces or forceful excessive use of foot plantar-flexors.
It is more common to occur commonly in teens and young adults.
The associated risk factors are Running or jogging, especially a recent increase in distance or speed, Pronated feet and Training errors.
General measures employed to treat this condition is to reduce training activity below symptom level and ice on the area of injury.
You should be doing physical therapy for strengthening and stretching exercises after acute symptoms disappear.
I think avoiding the routine sports which can cause injury to shin should be avoided.
Giving rest to the part for a while will help in longer run.
Are you on any medications, if yes what medications are they?
Keep me informed if you have any queries.
