Skin red and burning after intense exercise

Skin red and burning after intense exercise

Whenever I engage in intensive lifting, to the point of delayed onset muscle soreness, I also experience red and burning skin on extremities exposed to cold.  This correlation has developed over the past few years.  Within a few minutes of warming the affected areas the redness and burning will subside.  Once the DOMS subsides, the cold sensitivey also disappears...  Any thoughts on what might be going on?

Hi,
I think it could be due peripheral neuropathy.
Change in color on exposure to cold and warm temperature is suggestive of peripheral neuropathy.
This peripheral nerve pathology can be due to Diabetes, Prediabetes, Vitamin deficiency, and altered blood pressure status, any nutritional deficiency, and abnormal endocrine status, compression of nerve or impingement of nerve at time of exit from Vertebrae. You should be doing HbA1C, ESR, serum protein/immuno-electrophoresis, and vitamin B12, BUN, and creatinine levels.
Keep me informed if you have any queries.
Bye.
