I doubt this is a shinShin splints splint. I have never heard of someone developing them from a hard contact. You might just have a deep bruiseBone bruise Bruise Bruise healing - series Muscle bruise Skin bruise. Shin splints typically develop from improper running form on hard surfaces or too much running on hard surfaces. They also tend to develop slowly, and don't just suddenly appear.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that it's not a shin splint now, but a bruise. It's strange though, my ankle is actually discolored and swollen as opposed to my shin, which is sore.
I've been slowly developing shin splints for the past couple weeks. My problem is that I don't have enough time (1/2 weeks) to heal them properly. It's neccesary that I play soccer a couple hours a day, 5/7 days a week. The pain in my right shin is increasing to the point where I limp every time we sprint. Is there any 'quick cure'?
Tiger, Gravity has pulled the blood and swelling down to your ankle. I take the shin guards didn't work to good that day huh?
