Sore Joint, bones, muscles

by Trailrnr89, Nov 01, 2005 12:00AM
Hi my name is Brad, I am a very athletic 22 year old male.  I snowboard, mountain bike, run, and lift wieghts, along with hundreds of other things.  I currently started to rock climb at an indoor rock climbing gym and have developed some problems.  I was smart when I first started and would climb one day and take two or three days off, then began to climb every other day.  three weeks into my climbing workouts I began to get extreme pains in what feels like my joints, and bones from my chest down to the tips of my fingers.  It would hurt so bad and pound almost like a bad headach.  I have stopped climbing now for a weeks in hopes I would go back and be fine, but have noticed that even simple things like lifting something heavy will make them a little sore again.  I am so athletic and it has been killing me not being able to climb... I really want to get back out there.  I thought maybe because I dont get much calcium or something like that could have effected it some what, so I got some supplemental vitamins from GNC that is the daily dose of calcium.  I really would like an opinion so I can get back out on the rocks... DO I NEED TO GO GET XRAYS OR AN MRI or is this just something that maybe is a shock from working new muscles.  I heard you can pull tendons away if you do to much to soon.  I get so raped up into things and push myself really hard with the things I love

Please help
brad

See above (sprained thumb guy) but i dont know about putting horse linament on your chest. Better check with a pharmacist on that one. but the gluclosamine sulphate with chondritian will help. And also the horse linament for any other joint you have. You can also probaby try upping your protien; fish, chicken, pork, milk, egg whites, moose, anything that was once alive, or protien shakes, beans also have protien in them. And MAYBE Glutamine might help you too. You can get that at any health food store that sell supplements.

Hi Curious09, how are you doing? Hope your joint pain has reduced and you are feelig better with the treatment given at the hospital. There are a number of causes for the joint pains, commonly injury, sprain and arthritis. Hope you have been throughly investigated and examined by the attending orthopedic surgeon. Can you give some more details regarding the onset, frequency, nature etc of the pain? Take rest, good nuitrition and calcium supplementation. Here is a link to more about the cause and treatment aspects in general and I hope, you may be benefited: http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/symptoms/joint_pain/causes.htm
Take care and keep updating on your progress.

My name is Matt im 18 going to turn 19 in a week, and i have been getting some extreme shoulder pains, this pain happened once before i went to the hospital the doctor said it was my routrecup in my shoulder because i had a hard time moving my arm in any angle,  that pain  woke me up from my sleep and i had to go to the ER he took X-rays and said nothing showed up but he assumed it was the cup, but about 4 months later...now I woke up about a week ago with a stiff pain in my shoulder that goes down to the top of my bicep i cant sleep in a position for to long or the pain is unbearable have a hard time routating my arm and its the same pain i had before just not as hard to routate but still have trouble doing it its like it needs help  the thing is i have had not hurt it or strained it from my knowledge i would very much appericate it if someone could respond i have a vaction trip comeing up in 6 days and i dont want to spend it in pain

I have degenterative spinal disease.  I understand the pain that goes along with that from my neck all the way down, however, my bones are tender to touch in my legs and arms.  These bones do not ache lick arthritis, but just sensitive to touch.
Do you have an explanation.
