Tendonitis or ITBS?

I have been jogging for 4 years now. I log about 10 miles per week average. I have suffered through many shin splints, tenoditis in my foot, etc. I have learned to back off and not stop totally, stretch well, ice etc. I have developed a tenacious problem with my right leg. I'm not sure if it is ITBS or just plain tendonitiis. I have a tendency to get tend. frequently and I *try* to take vitamins each day to help with that (my chiropracter rec. mulivitamins). Usually I can cut back on mileage, apply heat and ice and will recover fairly quickly. I also am *very* slow to add miles, I don't even go as fast as the 10% rule as to avoid these injuries. However, I just can't seem to be rid of this pain in my right leg. It hurts more in the thigh, but runs along the outer side of my leg into my calf. It can hurt all the time and initially when I jog (about a 10 per mile pace, nothing fast, lol). It also bothers me sometimes if I sit with my leg bent underneath me. My husband will do some massage for me and the tendon in the calf tends to be enlarged and more tender, but the thigh muscle is where it hurts other times. It gets worse if I try to go over 3 miles and started when I inched my way back up to 6 mile runs. (keeping my other two runs a week shorter) I only run 3x a week and have even backed off to 2 some weeks. What else can I do??? I do run on the road ( I live in the country), but I try to switch sides of the road or stay in the middle when there is no traffic to avoid the slant. I have tried an ITBS wrap or a knee wrap (just the ace type). I also stretch it several times a day when I can.
