Im disproportionate in that i have too much fat in my upper body particularly behind my neck and the sides of my back have rolls

Disproportionate body fat distribution could occur cue to a few hormonal/ endocrine abnormalities. You could try activities such as running/ jogging, swimming, biking etc and see if you notice a difference. It might also be a good idea to consult a primary care physician to rule out secondary issues.
