Vomiting with excercise.

Hello,
        I'm 18 now, and I've recently stopped playing football as a result of my 'illness'. I used to be a very fit teen, and at the top of my game playing for Liverpool Football club through my teens, alas it didn't work out and I began playing again Saturday/Sunday league. However I first encountered a problem about 2 years ago, after doing a 30-40 yard sprint I felt light headed and I'd vomit, usually small amounts. I consulted my GP and I had various tests, blood even heart scans and ecg's etc to see if anything was effecting it from there, but I found everything was in perfect order. I wasn't unfit at the times, I'd been running miles, just when I sprinted it would hit me and it's discouraged me from playing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

P.S I have had Asthma but I've been told I can stop taking my medication because my lungs are functioning perfectly and I've had no episodes at all for years. When I explained my problem to my respiratory consultant he didn't believe it to be at all associated with my Asthma.

I worked up to it, by training pre season and stuff, and always generally been fit through years of excercise. Maybe it would be best to go on some sort of sprint fitness regime, but it's hard to just find somewhere to do this. In any case, your help is much appreciated.

sometimes HARD sprints will make you want to vomit it's that the adrenaline / stress hormones released by this cause the blood to move away from your intestines so they stop moving and anything in them sit's hydrate correctly + rehydrate correctly [fluid and electrolytes]
don't overdose on caffeine/ energy supplements beforehand feed yourself sufficiently, but don't eat too close to training or you'll likely up-chuck even worse!
Sprints are anaerobic, so they can make you nauseous just like squatting or any other exercise that builds up significant lactic acid in your system.
You also may want to think about a heart rate monitor.
Did you work up to doing full sprints or did you just start doing them? Sprint training is tough on your system...just be careful not to overdo it.
