Warm sensation after exercising

Warm sensation after exercising

I've been working out for eight months, and now just train for adding strength and toning muscle.  I'm a 55 year old female and weigh 105 lbs.  In the past couple of months, I've noticed that after working out, I will have prolonged periods of warmth, primarily in my back.  It is actually very pleasant, not painful.  It feels like a heating pad is on it, only not too hot!  This warmth can come and go for hours after my exercising.  I generally workout on an elliptical machine and do anywhere from 3-5 miles, averaging between 9-10 minutes per mile.  What causes this prolonged warmth?  I never get cramping, so it doesn't seem to be a buildup of lactic acid, or is it?

Hello!

Just check for side effects of any hormones; and if you are taking hormone replacement after menopause then it explains your symptoms.

Eat healthy and re hydrate yourself properly and if the symptoms progress then a proper examination for any allergy or associated causes should be sought with the help of a physician.

Take care!
