Ways to build up stamina again

Ways to build up stamina again

Hi. I used to be a dedicated soccer player throughout high school, playing on three different teams until 10th grade and two different teams after that, so pretty much year round. I played both women's and co-ed. I got sick of sports for a little while, I got burned out, but I missed it again and signed up for women's rugby in college. It's been about a year since my last soccer season, and we practice and run four days a week. It's still not enough for me. I was wondering what would help me get into shape a little quicker (the first game is only two weeks away and we've only been practicing for two weeks) like I used to be. It used to be easy to take a summer off, come back for the fall season and be right back where I was. I don't want to wear myself out tho or end up hurting my muscles by doing too much. Any advice?

Hi,
I think you need to start and practice enough cardio exercise to build up your stamina.
Muscle strengthening exercise will also help in building up your muscle for your forthcoming matches.
Hope this helps.
Bye.
