Wolf Parkinson White in Infants

My 2 1/2 month old granddaughter was diagnosed with WPW when she was 4 hours old. Is this hereditary as no-one in our family (as far as we know has or had it)? She is on Solatol twice a day. She has been admitted to hospital once and had 3 trips to hospital because of spells.Her spells seem to be less frequent and not as bad(the last two she brought herself out of). Is this something she will outgrow?
