Working hard to lose, but getting nowhere

by Becca37, Oct 27, 2009 08:52AM
I am 26.  5'11" and 196 lbs.  I work out 3 days a week.  I attend a spin class for one hour per day three days per week.  I have been doing this for more than a month now.  I have lost nothing.  I am constantly tired despite getting 7 hours of sleep each night. I am getting frustrated.  Any suggestions?

cs1013;

I am very active and have been for years. I had gotten to a point that 1200 calories and taking Karate 4 nights a week was not enough.
I also had been exhausted even in the mornings when i wake up. I decided to try the Lipo -b12 Shot and I am amazed at how much better I feel. My restless leg sydrome is even getting better, which I have suffered with for YEARS. I was told by my physician that it could possibly help aid weight loss, and so far I have lost 6 pounds in 3 weeks.

Hello!

You need to go to a dietician and plan a neat diet chart. If you want to lose weight plan a diet chart of around 1800 calories per day and lose around 300-500 calories per day in a sustained and continuous way.

Over a period of time you will lose and do not consume fats, junk food, fast foods, sweets, desserts, ice creams, deep fries, fatty meats etc.

Take care!

So you eat right, and workout, sleep, but are allway tired and cant lose weight?

The obvious thing to check is to get a thyroid test. Your doctor should know this.

Young people suffer from this for years without being tested. I was one of them, and I might add, was a semi-pro athlete when diagnosed with thyroidism 10 years ago.

You need to test THS, free T4 and Free T3. If the doctor only tests TSH, or refuses T3, then find another doctor!

I speak from experience.
